ARTIST STATEMENT & BIO

Delve into the depths of consciousness through extraordinary abstract paintings by Francesco Graceffa

Artist STATEMENT

Art should save the soul of human kind.
In my abstract paintings I study the spiritual world.
And I try to translate the unspoken world into shapes, colors, and symbols.
The unconsciousness is a living part of ourselves, and our whole person is in his own journey to evolve.
The painting process allows me to be a bridge between the Divine and the Matter.
In this way I can contribute to the global evolution of the Conscience. Every time I find an answer, I can share my discover with the Art. Thanks to meditative research, to contemplation, I can see the emergence of the esoteric world. The emotions can be impressed on the canvas. I can feel the radiance of a discover in the material world.
My works are the synthesis of an inner spiritual, emotional and existential research, that I externalize in images. Dreams and reality merge, giving life to my representations.

BIO

Art is a channel between the Divine and the Matter.
Francesco Graceffa is an Italian artist, born in 1985. Abstract painter on canvas, he approaches art after a degree in political science and a masterclass in photography. After experiencing several personal crisis in his life, he comes close to various types of spiritual philosophy. Following a trip to Central and North America he feels deeply attracted by the holistic spirituality of shamanism. He must slow down due the pandemic. The situation of stillness is like a blessing for him, because he’s forced to analyze and confront his inner self deeply: this allows him to grow the seeds of unexpressed potentiality. His painting comes to life in this context, self-taught, to bring the spiritual journey he’s living. Influenced by eastern philosophies, alchemy, tarots, shamanism, and other forms of esoteric self-improvement, he experiences art as a holistic healing for the wounds of the soul, and as a way to better understand the problems of the inner world.
